Watch Annika’s Story
In this video, Annika Miller shares how studying Exercise Science at PBA while competing as a student-athlete helped her grow spiritually, succeed in athletics, and prepare for her future in medicine.
Highlights of Annika’s Story
Annika Miller first discovered Palm Beach Atlantic University while still in high school and quickly fell in love with the campus. What began as a visit turned into a life-changing decision to pursue both academics and athletics at PBA.
As an Exercise Science student at PBA on the pre-med track, Annika has combined her passion for health, fitness, and wellness with her long-term goal of working in medicine. She also competed on the women’s golf team, where she helped lead the program to a historic milestone—qualifying for regionals for the first time in program history.
Annika describes that experience as one of her most meaningful moments, not only because of the achievement itself but because she was able to share it with her teammates and contribute to the growth of PBA’s athletic program.
Throughout her time at PBA, Annika explored different paths within healthcare before ultimately deciding to pursue the Physician Associate route. She will be joining PBA’s PA program—a decision that aligns with her desire to maintain balance while serving others in a meaningful way.
Spiritually, PBA challenged and strengthened her faith. Coming from a small-town background, she was exposed to a diverse community of students from around the world. This environment helped her grow, think differently, and deepen her relationship with God.
Annika’s God-Sized dream is to impact how people view healthcare. She hopes to build trust with patients and use her knowledge and compassion to create positive, lasting experiences in medicine.
